Welcome to join our team!
Our study focuses on investigating multifunctional role of blood-brain barrier/neurovascular unit (NVU) in human neurodevelopmental disorders, neurodegeneration disease and metastatic brain tumor. Our team include four directions:

  1. The multifunction role of blood-brain barrier/neurovascular unit in human neurodegeneration disease, such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
  2. The molecular mechanism in neurovascular unit (NVU) of brain-specific metastasis in breast cancer.
  3. The mechanism of brain microenvironment regulation -induced attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
  4. The multifunction role of blood-brain barrier/neurovascular unit in renal disease-induced brain injury.

Research Area

Our study focuses on investigating multifunctional role of blood-brain barrier/neurovascular unit (NVU) in human neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegeneration disease, dynamic regulation of neuron, neuroglia cells and vessel necessitate a highly communicated in brain microenvironment. It's essential between the CNS and the peripheral circulatory system as a dynamic balance, including to nutrient transport and the barrier to potentially harmful subjects. This homeostatic condition of the cerebral microcirculation dependent on the " blood-brain barrier/neurovascular unit " (NVU), handle all of these functions. Besides, we have interest to investigate the mechanism of NVU dysregulation in metastatic brain tumor. Our team include four directions:

  1. The multifunction role of blood-brain barrier/neurovascular unit in human neurodegeneration disease, such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
  2. The molecular mechanism in neurovascular unit (NVU) of brain-specific metastasis in breast cancer.
  3. The mechanism of brain microenvironment regulation -induced attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
  4. The multifunction role of blood-brain barrier/neurovascular unit in renal disease-induced brain injury.

Research expertise

  • Human neurovascular disease, translational medical research model establishment, tumor brain metastasis, neurodevelopmental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. We are good at using the important biomedical technology (cell molecular technology, optical imaging, clinical and basic technology, animal models) to study the possible mechanisms of neurovascular unit regulation in the development and degeneration of the central nervous system. And the dynamic regulation mechanisms of breast cancer brain metastases and chronic kidney disease- induced brain injury. we hope that we can understand the regulation mechanisms of neurovascular unit in human diseases with many directions to facilitate the therapeutic strategy and medical countermeasures in human disease.
